Mr.
Olvis judges the Sporting, Hound, Working, and Herding groups, several breeds
from the remaining groups, Juniors, and BIS. Though, he says, "it is an
honor to be asked to judge a specialty for any breed," he was particularly
honored to judge the Old English Sheepdog national.
Mr. Olvis has served many dog clubs with distinction: the Dayton Kennel Club, Penn Ridge Kennel Club (president, vice president, co¿show chair), Potomac Hound Club (vice president, board member), and Old English Sheepdog Club of America (judges’ education co-chair). He has written for the AKC Gazette and made presentations at the AKC Judges Institute. He is an avid sports fan, partial to Ohio State.
